This is the first of a kind course, an introduction to various quanty businesses and jobs in sell and buy sides, in consulting and in fintech. In particular, if you work or plan to work in trading or in portfolio management, this course will explain the organizational structures and teach you the exact quantitative reports that are used by the business. It will also outline the soft skills you will need, as well as sketch the early career path.
This is not a technical course which will be very useful for non-quants, including MBAs and CFA candidates.

Andrey is currently a Senior Credit Quant at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, Fixed Income and Discretionary Macro. He leads the quant support of scaling up the credit business, including investment and low investment grade credit, structured credit and convertibles.
His career in finance spans 30 years, 25 of which he has been a quant. In different positions and organizations, he dealt with modelling of most asset classes and wide range of derivative products, and he also contributed to the risk-side quantitative developments. Before joining Barclays, Andrey worked as a front office quant for Dresdner Kleinwort, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays, on the buy side for LetterOne, as well as for PwC and Deloitte as a consultant.
Being a production-grade quant, Andrey is an expert C++/C#/Python programmer, he has an extensive experience in using various compute technologies, including TensorFlow and Spark, and he enjoys web programming (including bidirectional real-time) as a hobby.
